I believe that clinical education should be relevant, with obvious application to the Real World that we're all working in.

So often, continuing education provides us with the “what”, but not so much the “how, why, and what next?!” that is so critically important for applying theory into practice. Case studies are both informative and useful components of every MedSLP’s education, while in school and throughout our careers.

So, The Modern MedSLP  Membership was created for SLPs like you and me! This unique platform provides you with opportunities to not only learn from others' cases, but to present your own. By keeping case studies inside a membership, I'm doing the best I can to maintain your privacy as well as that of your patients.

Benefits of presenting your case are far-reaching and include:
- Honing your case presentation skills
- Increasing your comfort with sharing your though process and receiving feedback from peers
- A free month of Membership

Nope! The Modern MedSLP is for SLPs around the world -- my vision is to grow the global community, and I welcome SLPs and students from across the globe.

YES! I welcome students to take any course and/or join a membership. You’ll qualify for a student membership for your first two years, but will still reap many benefits of this unique program. If you'd rather have access to all of the benefits included in the SLP Membership, you are welcome enroll in that membership.

We’ve all seen how Facebook misuses data, creates targeted ads, and incentivizes discord, so with my mission of growing a community for SLPs, it’s important to me that these things don’t exist.

There are many reasons I've decided to grow this community away from Facebook, including:
- Patient / client privacy
- SLP privacy
- A lot of miscommunications occur when text-based communication is the only option

With this community, you’ll have opportunities to communicate in text-based threads, DMs, voice calls, and video chats .

The community is on a free app called Geneva, available for iOS, Android, and desktop (web).  Geneva guarantees privacy and does not sell information. This is super important to me as someone who values the privacy of myself, my patients, and my colleagues (you!).

BONUS: It's incredibly easy to learn and navigate! You can also personalize your notifications so that you get notified for things that are pertinent to you.

The majority (if not all) of my courses offered at a given moment are registered with ASHA for CEUs. You'll be able to tell if a course is offered for ASHA CEUs in that course's description. If a course is offered for a certificate of completion (PDH), this will be clear in the course description.

ASHA CEUs are not offered to members of the Student Membership. Instead, certificates of completion are offered where indicated.

For a la carte courses, you can also sort / search only for courses that are offered for ASHA CEUs.

Courses: There are no cancellations or refunds for online courses.

Memberships: While I hope you'll let me know if you feel dissatisfied with your membership in any way so that I can hopefully make things better for you, I understand that sometimes things just aren't the right fit, or that life happens. When you cancel your membership, you will maintain access to your content until the date of your next billing cycle. Partial refunds for unused portions of memberships are not offered. If you decide to cancel your membership, you may do so when logged in by clicking "Account" and then "Billing" and follow the steps from there.

Send me an email at hello@themodernmedslp.com and I'll be happy to respond! Please allow at least 5 business days for a reply (longer in busy or USA holiday times).
