Orientation to Acute Care for the SLP
This first-of-its-kind webinar provides the SLP an orientation to acute care. While this course can be beneficial for novice and experienced SLPs alike, it is geared primarily toward SLPs (and students!) who are not familiar with acute care, levels of care, and the SLP's role in this unique healthcare setting. You'll leave the course armed with knowledge about intricacies of acute care, how we SLPs fit in to the picture, a deeper understanding of the importance of discharge planning, and more. You'll be empowered with tips and strategies for succeeding in this challenging-- but extremely rewarding-- fast-paced environment.

- Key components of the SLP’s role in acute care

- This course is 2.25 hours long (2.25 PDH / professional development hours) and is registered for 0.2 ASHA CEUs. Partial credit is not offered.
- All participants who meet course requirements receive a certificate of completion, regardless of ASHA CE reporting status.
- If you want your participation in this course reported to ASHA for CEUs, you must select that option at checkout. It's not possible to change your mind later.
- ASHA CEU reporting offered for this course until: Jan. 31, 2027.
