SLPs can care for patients requiring ventilator support in a variety of settings, from ICU to home.
This live webinar, taught by a respiratory therapist, informs SLPs of key concepts of mechanical ventilation in order to help you create better-informed care plans for medically-complex patients.

After this course, you'll be able to:
- Define basic respiratory terms
- Identify the difference between NIV and MV (noninvasive and mechanical ventilation)
- Explain the purpose of mechanical ventilation
- Describe indications of mechanical ventilation, basic terms and concepts
- Differentiate between various ventilator modes and settings

This course does not include a Facebook group, email follow-up questions, or any 1:1 access to the instructor. Because of this, the course is priced accordingly and contains comprehensive information and resources.

If a participant is unable to complete a course, no refunds are offered. If the Instructor and/or MedSLP Consultants must cease offering the course at any time, enrolled participants will be given 30-days notice to complete the course prior to termination of access.
